Lakes in Mussoorie
When we think of lakes the first destination appears in Nainital – The Lake City. Mussoorie lakes are not very famous but tourists do visit there in their tour to Mussoorie. Lakes of Mussoorie provide ample opportunities for sports lover with boating facilities available in these lakes at a very nominal cost. Lake Mist
Lake Mist is situated on the Mussoorie - Kempty road 5 km before Kempty falls. Lake Mist is a newly developed scenic picnic spot with good accommodation and restaurant facilities; you can also do boating on this lake.
Mussoorie Lake
Mussoorie Lake is situated at 6km on Mussoorie-Dehradun road. It is a newly developed picnic spot build by City Board & Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority. The lake offers pedaled boating facilities along with offers fascinating view of Doon Valley and nearby villages.
Municipal Garden
It is located at a distance of 4 km by rickshaw cycles, pony or by a car and 2 km via Waverly Convent School road on foot. Municipal Garden is a picnic spot having a beautiful garden and an artificial mini lake with paddled boating facility. Municipal Garden is an ideal spot for families and couples.
Bhatta Falls
It is situated 7 km from Mussoorie on Mussoorie-Dehradun Road near Bhatta Village. Bhatta Village is accessible by car or bus from where the easy trek of 3 km will lead you to refreshing Bhatta Falls. It has different ponds and small lakes for bathing and water amusements and is an ideal place for picnic.
